No one should have to manage alone.

Lev connects volunteers with older people and people with disabilities across Israel: for a weekly call, a safer home, a ride to the clinic and the rights they're entitled to. Practical help, person to person.

What brings you here?

  • A volunteer association
  • Nationwide
  • Free for the people we help

The need is already here. In every building, on every street.

The official numbers tell a simple story: many people are handling alone what is easier to handle together.

Lev exists to close these gaps, one person at a time.

What we do

Eight ways to help, each built on a documented need. We start small, measure what works, and grow.

  • A weekly call

A volunteer who calls every week at the same time, and really listens. By video too, and in person whenever you like.

  • A safer home

A home visit that spots what could cause a fall: a slippery rug, dim lighting, a shower with no grab bar. Skilled volunteers fix it, always with your consent.

  • A ride and a hand

Rides and company to the clinic, the hospital or errands, waiting included, so no one misses an appointment for lack of a lift.

  • A guide dog and a hand

The wait for a guide dog is long and the road to it is full of forms. Volunteers walk blind and partially sighted people through the process with the guide dog center, and help with daily life alongside the dog: rides to the vet, shopping, whatever is needed.

  • What you're entitled to

Help with forms and claims to National Insurance, the local council and your health fund. Many rights go unclaimed because of paperwork alone.

  • Digital confidence

Small, patient sessions with young volunteers: WhatsApp with the grandchildren, booking appointments in an app, spotting phone scams.

  • A neighbour for emergencies

A neighbour who knows you, knows what you need, and comes to help you reach the safe room when the siren sounds.

  • A break for families

A few hours when a volunteer stays with the person you care for, so you can rest, run errands or simply get out.

  • The next loop

Is your community missing a kind of help? Tell us. That is how Lev grows.

    Suggest an idea

How it works

  1. Reach out

Through the form, by phone, or via a family member. Tell us what matters to you, in your own words.

  2. Meet and match

We call you back, listen, and match you with a regular volunteer from your area, interviewed and trained.

  3. Go together

The volunteer comes, and you decide. We stay in touch with both of you and keep improving based on what you tell us.

What you can expect from us

  • Dignity first. You decide what, when and how.
  • The same volunteer, over time. Real connection takes time.
  • We measure what works. And share the results publicly.
  • Your details stay private. Used only to help, and nothing more.

An hour a week is one loop. Together, it’s a heart.

Lev is built by volunteers: students, retirees, neighbours and professionals. We'll match a role to your time and skills, with training and support all the way.

I want to volunteer
  • Talk
  • Drive
  • Fix (skilled hands)
  • Explain (social workers, lawyers)
  • Teach
  • Be a neighbour

We’re building Lev from the ground up. Want to be there from the start?

We're looking for founding partners. We'd be glad to share our plan, our goals, and how we'll measure impact.

  • Councils and welfare departments

We connect volunteers with residents you already know and support.

  • Foundations and companies

Program funding, team volunteering days and professional know-how.

  • Private donors

Every gift becomes hours of help on the ground.

Lev is a new volunteer association, and we are building it step by step.
